Each robot has a unique set of characteristics. What are yours?
- The speed that the robot moves forward depends on many things. Brainstorm some ideas of anything that might make your robot move faster or slower and list at least 5 possible factors:

- Line up your robot out in the hallway to go as straight as possible down the hall for 5 seconds. Try this test 3 times and record your results. What is the length of a single floor tile in inches? ___________
| Trial |
Distance straight forward in tiles |
Distance forward in inches |
Distance away from center line in tiles |
Distance from center in inches, to the left or right? |
Did you make any adjustments after this trial? If so, what? |

- Try adjusting the fit of your robots wheels, get a new battery if necesssary, adjust the setSpeed option on the wheels and see how close to a straight line you can get your robot to go in. Write down the changes you made to straighten your robot:
- Did you change the wheels? _____ if so, how?
- What speed setting did you use for motor.A? _______ motor.C? _________
- How many inches can your robot go forward in a straight line without veering off to the left or right? _______________ If it's less than 24", make adjustments and try again.
-

Now try this program twice and record how the robot does.
- Move forward 4 tiles, turn around 180 degrees, move forward 4 tiles, go backward 4 tiles.
- How close can you get the robot
to ending up
exactly 4 tiles ahead of where it started?
- Does the robot perform the same both times? _____
- If not, how does it change? _______________________________
- Run the program with the robot setSpeed(300) and again at setSpeed(720). Describe how it is different with the 2 speeds.
